On July 13th, the Shanghai Municipal\nPeople’s Government issued the “14th Five-Year Plan” for the\nDevelopment of Shanghai’s Digital Economy, which stated that Shanghai will\ncultivate new data economy, including digital content and digital trade, etc. during\nthe “14th Five-Year Plan” period. The plan also supports leading companies\nto explore the building of NFT (non-fungible token) trading platforms, research\nand promote the digitization of assets such as NFTs, the global circulation of\ndigital intellectual property, and digital rights protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding this, Shi Xingguo stated in the\narticle, “Shanghai’s proposal to support the exploration of NFT trading\nplatform building indicates that the development of the digital economy-related\nindustry is a long-term plan of the Shanghai government and will be launched at\nan appropriate time and pace. The full document is further elaborated within\nthe framework of the national 14th Five-Year Plan.
